I have had very sensitive ears all of my life and this sensitivity pertains to both the spiritual and physical world. Physical, high pitched sounds hurt my ears and make me feel nauseous. Even most binaural beats give me discomfort. Spiritual wise, I do not think there was ever a time when I had one huge awakening as I have always had the ability to hear, see, taste, know, feel and smell but besides this, as I grew, I began having smaller awakenings as different shifts were occurring within me and this would always begin with a ringing in one of both of my ears.
Numerous studies have shown that spirituality can help improve quality of life for people with chronic diseases like cancer. According to a literature review published today in JACC Heart Failure, spirituality can also have a positive impact on quality of life for heart failure patients. It further concludes spirituality should be considered a potential target for palliative care interventions to improve patient-centered and clinical outcomes in these individuals.
